What I've been reading
A running list I update a few times a year, mostly so I remember what I actually finished versus what I meant to. Not reviews, just short honest notes.
Designing Data-Intensive Applications — slower going than I expected, in a good way. The kind of book where every chapter makes me want to go re-read something I built two years ago with fresh suspicion.
The Pragmatic Programmer — a re-read. Ages better than most books in this category; the advice that felt obvious at 22 reads differently at this point.
A short story collection I picked up at a used bookstore — no plans to write software while reading it, which was the point.
I keep meaning to write proper notes as I go instead of relying on memory a few months later. Maybe next list.
